I met Eggy and her very large loving cagemate Pinn on November 26, 2009 when I picked them up to ratsit for a friend. I was only supposed to keep them until December 7th, but the friend had some bad family situations and the girls stayed longer. The original plan was once the older girl passed I would take in the other one. But then Eggy who was very anti-social with humans really came out of her shell in my home, and my friend was so stressed about her own RL situations we decided I should just keep them since they were very happy.
Sadly sweet Eggy slowed down last night, and passed cuddled up to my body in my hands and snuggled up to her Pinn in the dark of the Toronto blackout this morning.
I loved watching her come out of her shell, lick me when I would scritch just the right spot, and learn to love being kissed and stroked. From struggling to leave my vicinity to coming to see me on purpose for loving and watching those eyes brighten slowly into happiness. Every 2nd night she and Pinn, and the later addition of feisty Lady would sleep with me on the bed (well except Lady who went off to explore with little visits in between).
Sweet Eggy-monster, you dug yourself in deep in such a short time. I will care for your Pinn don’t you worry. heart

I will miss waking up to her lying near my head staring at me in the dark. She was a private girl who let me into her exclusive circle heart
