Frigg was my 2nd rescue ever and I adopted her from Animal Services as a companion to Lucky my first rescue. They were both found in parking lots, so they were my parking lot girls and Frigg n' Lucky. Frigg was 5 months old when I got her, and at first she really didn't like the idea of being touched. She was fine at being picked up but that whole stroking thing was yucky. She would be laying beside me and I would stroke her back. She would get up and stalk out of arms reach and lay down again. Some time later she decided she was going to act like a teenage boy who's mom insists on kissing him...."Aww Mom do you have to???" She would even lean away from my hand with a pinched look on her face, but I knew she was loving the petting. Eventually she became quite friendly and cuddly. She never had a sick day in her life for the 13 months she was with me, and then this weekend she started having blood in her urine, lethargy and a clammy feel...a lot of people thought she had UTI so when I took her to the vets tonight I was pretty optimistic. Of course not. She had tumour(s) in her abdomen and it seemed her uterus as well. She was put to sleep tonight and I am really upset. My Friggers is gone. Sleep well my little tomboy.
