Arrival on Oct. 28/09 (with her friend Tika)...xxchelle dropped everything to bring her to me!!

A few hours later after a shot of steroid, fluids and gentocin

She gradually improved for a couple of days then she took off!
in the low hanging hammock already

Dec. 17 – Someone’s gained weight! I figured she had a stroke initially and weaned her off the dex therapy

Poor little bubber injures her foot on Dec. 23…she just kept staring at the Christmas tree, wanting to climb in it, but knew she couldn’t climb in it then. She and Tika had to be separated at this point, but Hoochy was happier with this arrangement while she healed.
January 1 – aging fast but still so bright and lovely

January 8 – I “reintroduced” Tika and Hoochy (put them back together like they had never been apart) and they had 2 good days together.
Evening of January 10th, she has another stroke…she comes back a little, but not enough.

She passed this morning at 5 am sleeping peacefully beside Kittie and I (another PT girl).
She got her reprieve the first time around and didn’t waste a second. She ran, climbed and explored unless she was asleep. Most of her last weeks were spent on my bed, sleeping in my spare pillow case. She would visit me every morning, DEMANDING her breakfast.
My brave “miracle” girl is gone, but her gentle courageous soul will be remembered for a very long time. That bright little face peeking out of the hammock, and her throwing herself at me for her breakfast, following me from room to room when I wasn’t fast enough…lying on my chest trying to get me to wake up to SERVE her. [Goodbye Hoochy girl.
