I was checking up on some rats for the ARC website at the TAS (Toronto Animal Services) on September 3rd, 2007. I had called to ask when they were going up for adoption since they had been there since Aug. 22nd and the TAS is notorious for letting animals sit in Lost/Found for a long time. They were available now. I saw their pics and that was it. Shelagh was very very bad. :cheeky:
They were a russian blue hoodie and a russian blue berk. Russian blue hoodies have a very very special place in my heart because of Lucky my first real rescue rat...the rat that started me on my new path. Plus you can never forget about Dilbert!! LOL
Lani is Hawaiian for Heaven or Sky. :)

She was always sooo polite even when with the Mini-Horde, everyone liked her. LOL
Lani used to have issues being picked up and in the last few months she finally realized I would never drop her. Then soon after she contracted PT :(
I got her on a baytril/dex combo right away and she rallied pretty well for about a month or so now. :) She was wobbly and thin, but still did Her thing. I would have her out for extra loving, and extra food, and she climbed around the couch/fleecebox/chest I used as a coffee table, incredibly agile for her state. She was a happy girl last night, running around, a little confused, but still grasping decently with her front paws, etc…tonight she was gone when I came home…sigh. She looked like she had just fallen asleep.
Love you my wee blue gal!! I can see you popcorning around with your Fayth who was also taken too soon.
