Phlox

Phlox–My Party Girl Parties No More – Feb.07-Dec. 17/09

Phlox was another one of my throw-in girls from the Moncton Rat Train of June 2008. These cute little black berk, and black hoodie family of 5 were going to be left behind (the last of the rats) so I said “toss em in a carrier for me” LOL . They weren’t loving and appreciative like most rescues, but took me entirely for granted. I was just there when they needed me. I didn’t care in the least, they were alive and happy to be alive, that’s all that mattered. They tried their dangdest to break everything in my apartment but I never got mad, although I did jump and cringe a lot. LOL Phlox was definitely one of the instigators of the mayhem, but even she when approaching 2 years old became “cuddly”. Sadly she had an ongoing URI, that I think was really a heart issue, and improved with lasix, but she only made it to the night I got her enalapril to try. Sigh. :(

We lost their sister Lily to respiratory complications and then soon after Mom Hazel was gone, and then they started eating their hammocks

Then Phlox started gasping, and we almost lost her. But she came back with lasix, and abs…

Her very unsympathetic sisters were even trying to comfort her and she bounced back with a vengeance, running and having fun for about a month.
