Storm - August 2012 to January 30, 2015
Storm came to me from 2 other homes. Sterling had picked up her and her sister from her local shelter as they were in bad shape, and quite elderly. Her sister sadly didn't make it. Sterling had to rehome a lot of her rats when a situation at home became untenable, and she took Storm and Co. to Minnieflower in Toronto. The next day Minnie contacted me for help, as two of the girls were very sick and needed immediate help, so I went and got them that day. Kitty was younger and ended up responding quickly to the antibiotics but Storm was old, with an old body and aging immune system and never really got better. She became more comfortable and happier but she was chronically ill for the rest of her life.
Starting to feel a bit better

Making new friends but especially with sweet tilty Jax who was her personal pillow (he didn't mind). She was a very motherly sort.

A happy sleeping ratpile beside me.

Towards the end of her life Storm would insist on being on me as much as possible. I would sit down on the bed and she would come out of the blankets and leap into my lap...I would have to remove her to get up and do things and if I wasn't fast enough she would be back in my lap again
Once she was there she would cuddle down and go to sleep. She really was a darling little lady.
She also loved to lean on you if she was unable to get ON you at the time.
I miss her sweet face and gentle spirit very much.
