Wally

Wally - March 2012 to August 5, 2014

I will admit it, I love all my rats, in all their shapes and sizes, but sadly Wally took funny pics...it was rare to find a picture of Wally that made him look as cute as he was in person. LOL So taking pics were always an effort of hope, then despair, but I did get some over the last year or so. LOL

Wally followed his brother here about a week later, when he developed a URI and his owner couldn't afford the vet for his treatment. Unfortunately Wally and his brother fought when they were together at her place and punctured Freddy's eye (hence the removal), and even when they got older and mellowed, they still hated each other. Wally didn't like other rats so he just had me, but we made do. He was very sweet. He liked to lick me, but he was a funny boy in that when I would pat him, he would love it then whine and cry like a baby if he thought it was too hard or too something. Wally looked like a really toughie, but underneath he was the softest marshmallow, with a timid heart.

Arrival last year on April 23, 2013.

Getting to meet other rats and realizing they didn't want to kill him but would steal his food

And then sadly developing an unresponsive PT, my poor sweet love. He almost seemed to be responding but just like his brother a few weeks ago, the next day he was cold and lethargic and I knew he was leaving me that day...and I tucked him in the blanket on my bed, and he quietly passed a few hours later.
