Elsie & Amelie - July 2010 to December 4, 2012 - Run Free Little Ones
I had to make the decision to take in poor Amelie and Nell my half-wilds this morning. I gave these tough girls as long as I could but I have to help them now, as their tough halfie ways could end up making them truly suffer.
They were always skittish and always looking to bite…and escape, and cause as much trouble as they possibly could. They were a very happy group of sisters and really had no use for the human except to provide them meals, treats and entertainment at times for the braver ones. It took them 2 years before I could start handling them more, and examine them, much to their dismay, and the health issues have not been kind. Sweet Elsie has a giant tumour that is now starting to be a real problem. She amazed me at how she was able to climb the ladder, get to the shelf and into the hammock whenever she wanted to as that monster is not light. Poor Amelie has a tumour that looks like a testicle, terrible respiratory which I cannot control with antibiotics, and now she seems to have a tumour in her jaw, that is interfering with her eye and causing malocclusion.
They were the most adorable wee babies.
Elsie
Amelie, already showing off her brave adventurous spirit. She was one that made me bleed often LOL
For those 2 years my pics were just named “halfie girl(s)" LOL The only way to tell most of them apart was to pick them up and look at their belly markings… and that wasn’t happening.
Amelie was easier because of her white mark on her left side…here she is ready for a stray finger to approach.
The ladies
I managed 1 photoshoot late in August…

And final photos this morning on my bed. I gave them Rescue Remedy hoping to calm their stresses a little for the journey to the vet and breakfast as well.
