She, her sister and their young mom were the last of a group of rescued rats that needed homes. They almost went back to the original owner who let them all over breed and was neglecting them. Their foster Good Karma had a deadline and all the rest had been adopted, so I opened up my cages and my heart to little Brigit, her identical sister Keely and their mom Maline.

and then today’s sad diagnosis and sad decision to make, and I let her go. She had had to be hospitalized, and she had bloodwork done to see why she had lost all the weight, and her coat had compeltely changed in texture. :(. Her bloodwork indicated cancer of some sort was taking over her body :(
Happy, bouncing, bright-eyed wheel-running girl…may she find that wheel wherever she is now.
