Hades was one of 8 young boys and their dad I took in. The owners couldn’t rehome them so were going to have them killed. I had to get them THAT night, and I did.
That first scary night. All of them huddled into the corner, with Hades holding onto the bars in the middle

I was able to adopt out some of the boys but unfortunately there had been several more “desirable” rescue litters on offer at the same time…my older plainer boys dind’t stand a chance against dumbo babies and high-white markings …sigh. I managed to adopt out 3 boys and from what I have heard they are doing great. :D
Zeus, Hermes, Perses, Eros and Hades ended up living their lives with me.
Hades on right

Hades on the right…the last pic of the family together

Daddy Zeus was the smallest, softest, sweetest boy, but he had 3 sons who were nothing like him in temperament
Hades was named just because I was sure he was going to be Trouble…he was rubbing and puffy at an early age.
Hades became hormonal, biting me as much as he could, and was removed from the whole group and left with Perses and Eros who were also not gentle boys. Many months ensued of screaming and cage chases at 4 am waking me up and making me run to the cage. Then of course they would get along for days lulling me into thinking they were all settling down. Finally sweet gentle Perses was fighting back, and Hades got wounded. The 2 more aggressive brothers moved to the top of my Neuter List and were snipped.

Then of course gentle timid Perses became the aggressor as my former Nasty Boys became very sweet.
Sadly I found Hades quietly gone this morning lying at the bottom of the ramp, no struggle and no fuss, a surprising way for this boy to leave the world. I hope he’s with his dad the wonderful Zeus, and also reunited with Chaos his high-white brother who left us soon after they arrived.
