My poor sweet, dear Kayi. She was one of a group I took in, former feeder breeders, in dreadful shape, filthy, covered in buggies, urine, filth and worst of all dehydrated and starved over a long period of time. There was 4 girls and I thought sweet little Kayi was older and sicker than she was supposed to be, as she was lethargic and unresponsive...she always worried me, as she never seemed to recover from her ordeal, and would get periodic URI's but always bounced back, but her poor abused body finally did not. I am glad I got to be with her at the very end as she was a darling girl who deserved it all. She was with me since Jan. 25th so we had almost 10 months.

She had a serene expression, and was gentle and loving with me.

She like all the others bloated up and down for the first month (at first i thought it was a pregnancy scare) as their poor bodies readjusted to regular feeding.

But she finally stablized, stayed with her sisters happily and neutered boy Bo whom she loved. Sweet Kayi is missed by all of us.
