Mako

Mako - January 1, 2012 to May 27, 2014

Mako came from HH when they closed their doors down. I took in the more unadoptable rats to work with them, as they didn't have a chance at finding good homes.

Jenny drove the long way to meet Lyndsy in a parking lot to get all our new rats. At that point Mako didn't have a name, he was "1 agouti hood about a year and a half very hormonal."

When I met him he was very scared, slightly puffy and froze in my hands when I transferred him to my carriers. I had the impression of big black wide eyes and a gorgeous agouti coat. LOL

When I got him home and settled, and found out how defensive and puffy he was he went onto the Neuter List once he settled in and relaxed and I had the funds LOL I also named him Mako after the shark external image icon_lol.gif

Are you going to hurt me?

I realized the majority of it was fear so started working on him, and the other biter male he came in with. They started fighting at HH so were separated. They had originally lived in a bin, not a bin cage, but the actual tupperware, no holes, no nothing external image icon_sad.gif

Mako's eyes brightened up...with me...he hated other rats, was sooo terrified of them he would launch the offensive first. He also aged a LOT faster than Teagan did, so I left the neuter option.

When I would stroke him in my lap, he would stretch out to enjoy it but get this whiny face on, like a young boy being forced to kiss his mom in public...it always made me laugh and "abuse" him more LOLOL

My poor boy became very sick one night and didn't make it no matter what I did for him. Rest quietly lovely Mako-licious.
