Honey and a girl named Mikey were put up in an ad but sadly they had a short timeline...the parents were moving and flying cross country and were planning on flying their daughters rats but then they left it...never looked into the procedure, etc...and ran out of time. They put up an ad to rehome them on a Friday afternoon, and they were leaving on Tuesday. No one responded to their anxious ad so I ended up meeting up with them and getting the girls last July. They were both tiny, lean little things who had been in a tank, so had no muscle tone, and had been on a poor seed diet. They were supposed to be very friendly but ended up being very skittish, and this took a LONG time to work out. The sister Honey was more outgoing, but the girl formerly named Mikey, which I changed to Manukah, would shrink and run from hands, hide until the scary People were gone, hang back even when treats were handed out. A few months ago I noticed she was almost friendly and started to worry. I pulled her out and examined her and realized she had very early signs of PT...and on further examination found the worst news...she had a small lump directly under her left ear

She only responded a bit, then last night she was barely able to walk. I put her on a higher dose last night, had her out for cuddles and a wobbly toddle around the bed. This morning though she was just gone as I got up at 6:30 am. Its probably for the best, as both conditions are fatal, there`s no painful decisions for me to make, and she`s at peace again. Poor Manukah.
Ooh its touching me!!

I gave these girls friends and it was the best thing I could do

In the background as usual
