Samson

Samson- April 2011 to Feb. 20, 2013

Originally Noname, Samson was a throw-in rescue when Jenny was picking up the little biter girl for me. She knew she didn't have to call me to ask if I would take in the boy as well, but they made her LOL. The girl wanted to keep him but the parents made her give him up, as they didn't want any more babies.

Samson was a bit scared but very sweet, and after Livvy started attacking her new female friends, I had him neutered so he could go back living with his girlfriend. This is when I found out this rat was as patient as a saint! Livvy was a nutter...I loved her dearly but she would be fine one minute then have these mental breaks were she went after him for no reason...He would just close his eyes and tuck his nose when she was biting at his face, or if it was more active he would just get out of the Wild Woman's way LOL. I felt badly for him, but Livvy would only accept him and he was the only rat who would stand her shenanigans. Strangely Livvy passed suddenly and with no warning at the young age of 15 months. After this we had a Sweepstakes with all my girls as to who would get that hunk Samson and much older Tess won. Now Tess is a tiny firebrand, who intimidated most rats, but for Samson she was a walk in the park, and they ended up fantastic friends. Samson was never sick, a big boy but active not fat, and then suddenly last weekend he was very ill, after trying to get him better over the weekend, I made an appointment for him to be put to sleep, but he died that morning as I was packing up the carriers. Such a lovely quiet soul this boy had. Tess misses him very much, and she's withdrawn right now. 








With Tess. They were such a good pair, he was a biiig boy and she was a tiny girl. She taught him how to play and have fun, and he taught her the joys of cuddling, or standing on your man if you feel like it :)
