Spaz

Spaz - July 2009 to April 17, 2012 :(

Spaz and her lovely sister Tizzy (formerly Lyndsy) were originally named after the Mods by eagle. They were a rescue litter she had, and when she came down from KS to visit me for a few days years ago, she brought these 2 spooky little brats with her, as I wanted to adopt them. They were beautiful but definitely needed work with the attitude LOL

I called them the Twins at first. They did everything together, went into heat together, followed each others lead, etc I knew I would only need to reach one of these silly little girls and I would have them both LOL

Spaz was gorgeous and her pics proved it. Big black eyes, and big ears, and it never changed her whole long life.

Spaz was spayed young and it really did affect the rest of her life. Her sister Tizzy, soon had tumours, and terrible respiratory issues that ended up taking her life. From what I am told almost all her siblings/family went this way, but not Spaz.

I separated out the 2 sisters from the group they were living in so Spaz could take care of her sister who was failing, and she did.

After sweet Tizzy left us, I introduced my lovely old girl to two young boys, Alvin and Milton. She took to her boys right away and I called them Spaz and her Boy Toys…and her beautiful eyes brightened again.

Age trundles on but my lovely Spaz refused to have any respiratory issues or tumours…and even though she was getting very weak in the hind end she was still Herself. Slightly independent, very loving, but still no time to stop for cuddles.

31 months and my lady still looks beautiful although low slung. She actually undulated like an inchworm to get around sometimes LOL Even with her HED almost full blown, she could get anywhere she wanted to go, and especially would somehow get back in her cage herself while the boys were still running off steam.

Last week, age has even made my girl chubby since she couldn’t move around much.

This morning I found her gone…it looked like she went to sleep on her side and she left…no stress, no fanfare, nothing special and all on her own terms.  She was a wonderful rat and the boys and I will miss her immensely.
