Sparrow - October 2010 to July 27, 2013
I am very sad to say my last Hamilton rescue girl is gone, I found her in the cage this morning when I went to take her out for some scratches and cuddles. She is survived by Remy who lives with Jenny, and her lumpy old cagemate Wren who will miss her horribly. Sparrow was feisty from the beginning. She arrived as a family in danger of being put outside with 2 moms and 3 sisters and 4 brothers...I kept Sparrow and Linnet, and the others were adopted out.

Sparrow and her sister Linnet

Little by little needy baby girls came in and got added to the group. Family Photo :)
from L to R - Reverie, Wren, Sparrow, Kahini, Linnet and Absinthe

A happy family for quite awhile, with very few pics of Sparrow as she was a serious runner and explorer LOL. Eventually Kahini and Reverie were adopted, so then they were 4.
Sparrow and Linnet were spooky girls, once they were out they just wanted to RUN and would scream if picked up LOL
But here is Sparrow, saying "let me Out, I'll be good" (butter wouldn't melt in her mouth)

Last year when she was 2 years old, she developed a scary, super fast growing mass on her left front arm. Within a few days she was unable to use it...my vet saw her on Friday and we both decided that she needed surgery before Monday as it may be too late. So on a Saturday my vet removed my lovely girls front leg to save her life.

Monday night she came home...she was amazing, already moving around and adapting!

She was a tough girl mentally and did just great after the surgery :D

Sparrow in with Absinthe and Linnet

27 months of age...my girl starts getting mammary tumours and develops a hard tumour on her neck, thankfully that one was very slow growing and never affected her.

My spooky girl loooved cuddles and pats and scratches now

She amazed me that no matter how old or frail she got...she still got EVERYWHERE she wanted,. on and off the bed, into the top hammocks of her low cage...regularly pushing through the bars to get out of her cage...I had to block her in to her disgust LOL

Deliberately falling into the garbage bag so she could get nacho crumbs...she looved bags and I was always pulling her out LOL

A week ago hanging out with 18 month old Serena (who passed soon afterwards)

Special special girl...I will take care of lumpy Wren until she tells me enough, then you can be reunited with your entire family.
