Tepeu (Teppy) Nov. 2008 to Nov. 17, 2011
Tepeu was posted by our good Moon, whose vet had called her. PJ’s Pet Express had dropped off 2 baby girls to be euthanized because they had head-tilt (not saleable in that condition). The vet looked at them and said “No way!” and started medicating them. She called Moon to see if she wanted them. Moon picked them up and brought them to me. Tepeu was older, healthier, and a lovely pearl girl who reminded me so much of my former Maya, that she and her tiny, sickly friend both go Mayan names.
Sadly little Peku was much worse and didn’t make it until my vet returned from a conference later that week.
Right from the start Tepeu was a little brave adventurer.

My lovely girl was soon intro’d to my neutered tilty Fred, and his brother Marley. After this they got intro’d to the Sweetie and her Sugarbabies (honourary Sugah’s included) cage. This was the best group for her. She grew up very happily and busily...and greedily LOL]
Then due to injury or glaucoma, Teppy’s eye started to change and swell...it had to be removed surgically.

She adapted beautifully and became even more of a bully :D She survived a bout with Sendai virus and kept on going although after this she had chronic URI off and on.
A very happy girl

At 29 months she got a huge glaucoma in her “good” eye.
She ended up joining the Lilith, Hope, Hansel group and loved it.
About now is when she became very cuddly and really loved to sleep on or near me.

Tepeu became fully blind in late May.

Still causing trouble very happily at 33 months...de-stuffing my pillows. She was sooo proud of herself :D
Teppy showing off her hock-walking skills, and helping me tidy up the bed :P Unfortunately soon before this she developed a mass behind her right jaw and there was nothing I could do.

Comfy in her last days, she would sleep on the bed with me at night.

Farewell my love.
