Valora - March 2006 to July 14, 2009 :(
Vesta and Valora came from the THS and were supposed to be companions to my wee girl Brie who was languishing in Hamilton AC but would be coming home soon.
Valora was the alpha of the Horde but never really pushed her weight around too much, she just had fun in her group
Time passed and soon everyone started to go. I had to let go Zuri and Valora's 3 year old sister Vesta go at the same time. Valora was alone, the last of the Horde, but bravely found her way and her real story began.
Valora happily dismembering my couch, it became her Extreme Hobby :giggle:
Then my brusque girl started her next career of babysitting other ailing rats.
Old sick Max, was her first babysitting job, and she was 3 years old at the time
A month later she kept manic 32 month old Wilbur company. She really wasn’t fond of him in the beginning, she is a girl who likes her peace and quiet and he was a bit of a sweet nut. But as a good caretaker does, you put aside those feelings and do The Job. She grew to really love him.
Valora had no clue she is 38 months of age! She has had a mucky eye for a year, and has progressive HED but was in great health and condition :)
She kept young Molly company when she was let out away from her babies. She was even very patient with the babies later on :D
She was intro’d recently to new older rescues Mogwai and then finally 32 month old Otto.
Sadly that mucky eye ended up being a cancer near her eye, and I had to let her go today. 40.5 months is a long eventful wonderful life, so I shall miss her but there are no regrets whatsoever.
