The Dessert Girls were just called the Foster Girls for so long until I realized their owner had abandoned them and they were here to stay. They were by then very sweet so got sweet names.
When they arrived they didn’t like to be touched much less handled and were skittery girls. Their mom who was much older died only a month or so after they arrived. Their sister S’more was put to sleep for mammary tumours and now her 2 sisters also developed mammary tumours. They cheerfully bore their burdens for a very long time, never seeming to lose their love of life, but recently I have had the feeling they were tired and I called my vet to make the appointment.

Éclair bit for the longest time, but once she realized there was no retaliation from her bites and they didn’t make me “go away” she stopped. She also stopped glaring at me, and her gaze became very sweet. Especially like many other neglected rats before her, I gave her and her sisters the chance to run free, which they adored and would make the most of. LOL
