Linnea – May 2009 to Nov. 17, 2011
A woman near Barrie used to run a travelling pet show called Pets on Wheels...rats were part of her show. She was in a horrible car accident and was unable to continue the show, so I guess she decided breeding was a suitable occupation. :/ She was moving into an apartment and was dumping all her stock on kijiji for free. I was going to take the buck only (Ferds with Jorats) but was told about his breeding/living companion “the black rex girl”. I was told she was 1.5 years old. Umm...not.
Our own LA picked her and Ferds up, and fostered them for me until she was able to deliver them to me. She told me Linnea was a great girl and very confident.
I fell in love with the tatty little girl from her pics. :D
They finally arrived March 20th of this year and while Ferdinand (formerly Brutus) was very timid, Linnea made herself right at home, gave me many licks for rubbing her ears and giving her scritches. I was smitten!

Linnea joins the Lilith Crew (clockwise from bottom left – Kelly, Lilith, Linnea and Tepeu)

VERY content with her new circumstances

In August Linnea had to be spayed, we weren’t sure what was wrong with her but we figured that it must’ve been a phantom pregnancy. Only her. :P
She discovered the top of the Cozy Boat was better than the top of the cube and practically lived up there

Linnea developed a fast growing mass in her abdomen, which I couldn’t ignore any more, so when I realized Tepeu had to leave us, I let Linnea go with her.
And a picture showing my Linnea how I will always remember her, feisty and happy to the end. I had really hoped this one would grow old and feeble with me, but it was not to be.
Her attitude about life...Pffft...just live it
