Linnet

Linnet - Nov. 2010 to Feb,. 27, 2013

Linnet was the wee-est of the babies I took in from a sad situation in another city. All the rats including these young babies were about to be tossed outside in the snow by an irate and unhappy husband. Someone joined a forum I am on and posted asking for help. My wonderful friend Jenny went and picked them up and brought them to me. She fell in love with 2 of the boys on the journey and ended up taking them home once they were neutered. LOLOL

Linnet was the only double rex in the little family of 2 moms, 2 standard coated babies, 3 rexies and Linnet. You just couldn’t help falling in love with the tiny pink mite.

Whee!

Then came a sad day…my formerly never-any-issues Linnet started sprouting tumours…I had planned on removing them but even worse, her sister Sparrow developed an extremely fast-growing and scary tumour on her front left leg…I had to make the choice between saving Sparrow’s life or removing Linnet’s non-life threatening mammary tumours :( They barely slowed her down, for a long long time and even more popped up.

But sadly the time came, and I let her go with her beloved friend Absinthe, whom she was closest to of all 4 Brat Girls.

She really was an incredible, feisty little thing, and the world feels a little duller without her in it.
