Chloe - August 2011 to November 4th, 2013
Chloe was the "Other Niagara Rescue" who I got talked into taking in just before Christmas of 2011, as she had a worsening head tilt, and wasn't going to be getting any treatment where she was. I was told she lived in a communal cage with other girls. When I got her she was adorable!! I tried her with the tiny nakie girl and that was good for ummm...3 hours? After that Chloe reverted to her normal personality...Crazy Chloe LOL
Chloe was a nutter so she got O-spayed in early Februrary so I could attempt intros with boys if necessary...big rough and tumble boys who could take all her antics and ignore her.
Big Smitty was first and he was terrified of her... LOL
Then I tried other groups...meh it was OK for awhile until she relaxed enough to go back to bullying every rat in sight. She had manic energy and rarely stopped so it was hard on these boys LOL
Nexxxt....
Alvin a bit tougher and Milton (neutered and sweet). She seemed to relax around them...
And she stayed that way.... *heaves sigh of relief*
I eventually added in 2 younger boys and the group was complete. Chloe stayed with these youngsters Vex and Trouble until just recently :)
Her Family until the older boys left us
Happy Chloe (we dropped the Crazy)
Recently I noticed my Chloe wasn't moving around much in her cage anymore, wasn't hanging with her boys much anymore and she had HED, and also malignancies on both shoulders I was watching. I pulled her out to live with the other Oldies and she did very well with them.
Bright and beautiful to the end, and always wanted to be near me, or on me...she slept near me if she could, and Bree would curl up beside her.
Goodbye "Crazy" One. Be with Milton and Alvin, your first loves in the rat world.
