Sept. 2011 to March 24, 2014
Clare and Bree (formerly Cheesecake and Evelyn) were dumped off to be euthanized at the Montreal SPCA. These poor girls were supposedly 2 years old, both had tilts and Clare especially had a large tumour. This all meant they were unadoptable to the public and Vic asked me if I wanted them...of course I did!
Vic came down on a rideshare with them and met me again and I met my little Tilt-a-Palooza.
They even had tilts that tipped them in opposite directions. LOL
Bree the black hoodie was more tilted, more reserved...willing to wait and see what was going to happen next. Clare on the other hand was a very happy girl from the beginning. Her inner ear infection had made her what I called a "manic tilty". They seemed to go in high speed and the head would be waving around like crazy. She was very very sweet, and cheerful as could be.
Clare was a character and had some funny little habits. She liked to stick her nose up mine until I laughed. I am sure she laughed along with me :P She also loooved to lie on her side while I rubbed and stroked her...she'd go to sleep like that, and for a girl on high speed all the time this is kind of a miracle LOL
Her sister was the only other one she would stay still for LOL
I was worried if we removed that heavy tumour weighting her down, she would toss her head and go flying LOL
But we had it removed and then she could FLY! Of course I never got pics of this as she was too fast!
Even as she aged, and more tumours came back, and HED started, and her vision went...she still clambered and climbed and cuddled and clowned around
She taught Tess and others that friends were Good Things to Have and to lie on.
Ten months have passed since she arrived and it was all full of Clare. I shall miss my beautiful sweet girl who is now reunited with her beloved sister and both I and her old friend Isa are mourning tonight.
